BFN Nepali team visiting the Netherlands

In an inspiring cultural exchange, the Bungamati Foundation Netherlands recently hosted the Bungamati Foundation Nepal (BFN) team for an insightful visit to the Netherlands. Led by the founder chairperson, the BFN Nepal team embarked on a journey to connect, learn, and experience a new way of life while strengthening the bonds between the two organizations.

The visit was packed with enriching activities. The team toured various schools, a college, and a library, where they observed the Dutch educational system in action. This gave them an opportunity to gain insights into the Netherlands’ progressive approaches to education, sparking ideas for potential improvements and collaborations back in Nepal. The visit also included a tour of a church, providing the team with a glimpse into Dutch religious and cultural practices.

One of the unique highlights was a visit to cow and chicken farms, where the team observed modern farming practices that prioritize sustainability and animal welfare. These visits were both educational and inspiring, showcasing methods that could potentially be applied to enhance agricultural practices in Nepal.

Beyond the educational tours, the team explored the beautiful cities of Rotterdam, Tilburg, Eindhoven, and Amsterdam, immersing themselves in the Netherlands’ vibrant urban culture. These excursions allowed them to witness the unique architecture, innovative urban planning, and the daily lives of Dutch citizens.

The BFN Nepal team also had a warm experience interacting with Dutch families and friends. These exchanges fostered a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures and values, creating memories and connections that will last a lifetime.

Reflecting on the journey, the BFN Nepal team expressed immense gratitude for the warmth and hospitality they received. They returned to Nepal inspired, with new ideas and perspectives to share with their communities, and a strengthened commitment to the partnership between Bungamati Foundation Netherlands and Nepal. This visit was not just a tour but a true exchange of knowledge, culture, and friendship that has left a lasting impact on all involved.
